STREETWISE

'Streetwise' is a targeted national grassroots development program designed to offer youth from all walks of life the opportunity to become actively involved in skateboarding in Australia.

StreetWise provides youth in all areas of Australia with the opportunity to be involved in skateboarding clinics conducted by some of Australia's best skaters who have completed the Australian Sports Commissions (ASC) National Coach Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) skateboarding course.

The one or two day clinics embrace the principle of continued learning to stretch beyond boundaries and include a Mammoth Skate Pack for all participants..

Oh, by the way, if you are 12 and under and think you have what it takes on the skateboard, check out the World Industries King Of The Groms competition. Trip for two to America, bit of time left to get you footage in!?

Skateboarding Australia and the Vocational Partnerships Group (VPG) are amped to announce that StreetWise will be ripping in to the Weipa skatepark on the 15th and 16th of October, 2011. For more info peep the flyer.

This came about after a successful StreetWise tour of Darwin and Katherine. SbA coaches Tim Black and Andreas Schwitter made such an impression amougst the youth that news crossed the Gulf of Carpentaria to the remote postings of Weipa. Kellie from VPG has being working enthusiastically towards this event, with sideline attractions sure to accompany what will surely be an action-packed weekend! SbA thank VPG for supporting skateboarding.
