World's best Action Sports Tour Explodes onto Fuel TV this Sunday.

Live and exclusive coverage of the
ISF World Championship of Skateboarding, 27 June 2010

The world’s premier season-long action sports tour returns to FUEL TV this Sunday with LIVE and EXCLUSIVE coverage of the ISF World Championship of Skateboarding.
The first stop on the 2010 Dew Tour, to be held at Boston’s TD Garden Arena, sees some of the biggest names in skateboarding compete in Vert and Skate Park competitions.

FUEL TV’s coverage will include all the action from the Vert and Park finals; from 6am AEST this Sunday 27 June. Now in its sixth year, the Dew Tour is the only tour of its kind in action sports and includes five major events which are contested by the world’s premier action sports athletes. The Tour also offers a total prize purse of over $US2.5 million – the biggest prize in action sports. The 2010 Dew Tour opens with the ISF World Championship of Skateboarding and spans the United States over five months of competition including the Nike 6.0 BMX

Open, Wendy’s Invitational, Toyota Challenge and the Dew Tour Championships. Adam Howarth, FUEL TV Channel Manager, said FUEL TV was pleased to present the world’s ultimate action sports tour.
“The Dew Tour is the king of action sports tours and includes five world-class events, all of which will be LIVE and EXCLUSIVE on FUEL TV between June and October,” said Howarth. “The tour showcases the very best athletes in the business across BMX and Skateboarding and the action is non-stop from the opening trick.” Howarth said the presence of Olympic Snowboarding Gold Medallist Shaun White will bolster the appeal of the 2010 Dew Tour.

“Shaun White’s success in Vancouver opened a lot of people’s eyes to the incredible skill that some of these athletes possess,” he said. “Shaun is a dual Olympic Gold medallist in snowboarding, but he has also previously won the Dew Cup for Skateboard Vert and has won both the Winter and Summer X Games in different sports.”

“While Shaun is well known to action sports fans and general sports fans alike, there are many like him that compete on the Dew Tour who are lesser known to the general public but have the same ability to shock and amaze with their talent.” “That’s the beauty of covering this tour, as we’ll be exposing these athletes to a
national audience.”

White, who was injured in training this week, will miss the opening event of the season but will be involved in the broadcast from Boston on Sunday.
